Camhurst House is a specialist supported housing scheme specifically for people with alcohol but who may also have additional complex needs.
The scheme is located in the Islington area of London and consists of 10 self-contained flats.
Our staff can support you around a range of different areas to enable to you become as independent as possible. The support includes:
- Maintaining an tenancy with a view to moving into independent accommodation
- Linking in with healthcare services
- Reducing your substance misuse and offending behaviour
- Budgeting and managing money and benefits
- Increasing social and living skills and broader support networks
- Links into educations, training and work opportunities
- Develop your life skills
Every customer has a support plan that reflects your support needs and aspirations. Support workers regularly review your plan with you to make sure that it still reflects your needs.
Along with the support we are also able to offer independent living skills sessions, monthly tenants’ meetings, access to our Employment Team and a specialist move on officer to help you when you are ready to leave the scheme.
The scheme lasts for between 6 months and a year, and when you are ready to move on, staff can help you to find somewhere suitable to live.
Staff are available Monday to Sunday 8.00am – 9.00pm and outside these hours there is a security service in place. An on-call manager is available via telephone for emergencies and there is a 24 hour emergency repair line.
Referrals are made through Islington supported housing. If appropriate, a referral will then be passed to us and we will arrange with the referring agency to hold an assessment as soon as possible after we get all the information we need.
