Our second festival this year for our Care and Support customers, which took place at Butlin’s, was themed around helping people improve their health, wealth and wellbeing. The event saw our customers travel from across Hampshire, East and West Sussex to the holiday camp venue.
Lots to do
There was no chance of anyone getting bored with the opportunity to try out over 20 experiences and activities – all aimed at helping to improve health, wealth or wellbeing. For the more musically minded, there was singing, drumming and a customer choir. For those looking for a new hobby, there were art classes, decoupage and knitting amongst others. For the more adventurous and active, there was hoola-hooping and a football tournament. There were also free massages and healthy foods along with information and advice about managing finances, keeping safe and staying healthy. Thanks to the beautiful weather everyone was also able to have fun at the fairground in the park after enjoying the activities at main event.
The event was rounded off with an Oscars themed awards ceremony that celebrated the amazing achievements of the people that Family Mosaic supports, in categories such as Service to the Community, Volunteering and Unsung Hero. Camilla Cooper, a Family Mosaic customer from Bexhill and an Oscar Nominee, had a great time at the event: “I thought it was a really lovely occasion and it’s great to see people being recognised and appreciated for their hard work. I think it was also wonderful to see how much people can evolve and get better with Family Mosaic’s help.” Sophie, another Family Mosaic customer from Sussex, also enjoyed the day: “I thought it was lovely to see everyone coming together and nice to see a real sense of community. There was loads going on and lots to offer everyone – all quite overwhelming!”
