A great day was had by all recently as staff from care and support and HR went along to promote Peabody at Essex Pride in Chelmsford.

Moira Griffiths (pictured right below), Director of Care and Support,  joined other colleagues to spread the word about Peabody in Essex, talk about the services we offer and promote Peabody as a great new employer in the area.

Family Mosaic was a well-known brand throughout Essex prior to our merger and so it’s important that we try and establish the Peabody name and explain our work in the area. Essex Pride offered us a great opportunity to do this and have some fun.

Luckily the weather was kind to the group and Suzanne Exton, an Outreach Support Officer from floating support, really enjoyed the day; “It was a really lovely event to attend. Lots of colours and the atmosphere was amazing!”

Moira Griffiths also saw it as a great opportunity to get our name more well-known; “We wanted to let people know about all the things we offer throughout Essex from both a customer and employee perspective. This event gave us a great chance to do this as well as supporting the work of our equality and diversity group.

“We have such a great legacy in Essex and with our improved offer to staff, it’s something that we really want to be publicising so we can attract new people who may never have thought of a career in the care and support sector.”

A big thank you to Moira and Suzanne along with Linda Smith and Jen Vivash from HR and Fiona Murray and Denise Monk from Essex Floating Support for offering their own time to help on the day.
