Family Mosaic has won the contract to deliver care in two extra care schemes in Hastings and Rother. Marlborough House in St Leonards is a 40 bed unit where we have delivered housing support since the service was developed in 2003. Sidley Road in Bexhill is a brand new 58 bed scheme that is currently being developed by Amicus Horizon.
We have also won a new Community Service Contract to deliver re-ablement, home care and continuing health care to people living in their own homes in Hastings and Rother, making us one of the biggest providers of Care and Support in East Sussex. This exciting new contract goes live at the end of October 2014, and we could be seeking to employ up to 600 new staff to work in the service, making it the biggest Care and Support service in Family Mosaic.
Claire Howell, Head of Services in Sussex said: “I am really pleased that we have been awarded these new contracts and it give us a fantastic opportunity to carry on the good work that we already undertake in East Sussex. Whilst it will be a huge challenge to set up the new services, we are confident that we will be able to provide a first class service to all our new customers and embed Family Mosaic in the South.”
Yvonne Arrowsmith, Group Operations Director, said: “We are delighted to have won these new contracts in East Sussex, and are keen to reassure any of the customers who will move over to us with the change that we will do everything we can to make this as easy as possible for them. We will be holding some open days for existing and prospective customers as well as some open days for people interested in working for us over the coming months and look forward to the start of this new business.”
