Congratulations to this month’s Gold Wow Award winner Sue Webster, receptionist for Rowan House in Colchester.

The WOW! Awards are the UK’s only national awards that recognise excellent customer service based purely on customer and colleague nominations.

Sue was nominated by Richard Priest, regional director of care and support, on behalf of the care and support team in Essex for the amazing job she does as the face of Family Mosaic in Rowan House:

Sue is by far the friendliest and most helpful receptionist we have had the pleasure to work with, always cheerful, greets everybody enthusiastically and with genuine warmth and often has a laugh or an anecdote to share.

She is really considered part of the team and will always go above and beyond; not waiting for requests to come into the inbox, but proactively resolving issues if she sees them. We all feel particularly touched that Sue spends her own money to put flowers around the office to brighten the place up.

Sue delivers excellent customer service to us, and at reception is an excellent representative of Family Mosaic being warm and friendly either on the phone or in person to anyone who may contact us.

Without realising it she probably also displays some of the values the organisation is looking for in its staff as part of our Good to Great journey.

Clare Mann, Sue’s manager, is equally impressed with her abilities:

Sue works hard to carry out her role to the best of her ability and is extremely good at following procedures. On top of this, she goes over and above to help out her own and other teams at Rowan House.

She has a great rapport with staff and regular visitors at Rowan House and is equally friendly with visitors and customers whilst remaining professional.
