Customers at the Life Skills training in Southampton

Customers in Southampton were offered the opportunity to learn some new skills with some training sessions offered by us.

Prior to this week’s Life Skills course customers were able to attend a Confidence Building training session.

These training sessions were organised by Family Mosaic and staff in our Disability Service encouraged their customers to attend and help them book their places.

The trainer, Shelley Edwards from Progress to Success, is well known to our customers and has facilitated training previously for the organisation.

Sessions have been relevant, interactive and informing with customers feeding back that: “I learn something new every time I come” and “I have enjoyed being out of my flat all day, meeting other people and talking and being listened to”.

After the training sessions, customers are given handouts about what they have learnt which can be discussed with their support workers on their next visit and can form part of their support plan.
