The Redbridge Mental Health Supported Housing Services covers the London Borough of Redbridge and supports people with a variety of mental health needs.
The service consists of two high support schemes which offer a total of 15 self-contained, partly furnished flats with staff on site daily from 8am – 10pm with someone sleeping in overnight.
The service offers housing along with specialist support for people who are experiencing serious mental illness. We can help customers with their recovery and to develop skills to live independently.
The service lasts for up to two years. We offer specialist, tailored support to people recovering from mental illness and work with you to develop a support plan that meets your specific needs and aspirations. Your plan is regularly reviewed with you to make sure it still reflects the goals that are important to you.
We offer support around areas such as:
- Maintaining your mental health.
- Increasing support networks
- Help to attend meetings.
- Maintaining a tenancy
- Social networks
- Links in to work or training
- Self-esteem and confidence
- Coping mechanisms
At the end of the service, staff can support you to look for suitable independent accommodation.
Referrals to the Redbridge Mental Health Services are made through the Redbridge Mental Health Accommodation Panel via the community mental health team.
