Three groups of customers of our sheltered housing schemes in West Sussex recently organised a mini art exhibition and afternoon tea in Felpham to showcase their work.
The groups of budding artists had a great afternoon meeting one another and comparing their work.
The art sessions began this time last year and have developed with the encouragement of staff from Here To Help with funding for the art groups was provided by the Family Mosaic Community Trust, previously known as the Maisie Sheed Trust.
The event was organised by Bindy Vinall and Juli Willis, both staff from our Here To Help service in Chichester and Arun.
Here to Help is now two years old and has supported many hundreds of people across the community over 60 years of age with housing related support.
We are delighted at how enthused our customers have been to attend the art groups and we are starting new groups in more schemes.
The main aim is of course the creative pursuits, but with the added benefit of being able to bridge the gap of isolation that is so prevalent in society today.
