The Sutton Floating Support Service is a visiting support service for adults with a range of different needs living in the Sutton area of Surrey.
The service offers housing related support regardless of the kind of accommodation you live in; private rented, shared, supported housing, local authority housing or if you own your own home.
Part of the service also works specifically with gypsy travellers living in the area.
Our staff can support you around a range of areas to enable to you become as independent as possible. The support includes:
- Maintaining an independent tenancy
- Linking in with healthcare services
- Budgeting and managing money and benefits
- Increasing social and living skills and broader support networks
- Links into educations, training and work opportunities
Every customer has a support plan that reflects your support needs and aspirations. Support workers regularly review these plans with you to make sure that they still reflect your needs. Your support worker can also refer you to other local agencies, in case you need additional specialist support.
We hold a fortnightly drop-in service on a Wednesday at the Sutton Civic Centre from 9.00-12.30.
The service is available Monday to Friday, from 9.00am to 5.30pm and a duty line operates during these times.
The visiting support service lasts up to a year, depending on how much support you need, while the service for gypsy travellers is on-going.
To apply for floating support, applicants must contact the Supported Housing Pathway Officer on 020 8770 5226 or email@example.com. They will send you a Referral Form, which must be completed and returned to:
