If you want to help make a positive difference to people’s lives, join Peabody

Sue Walker, Support Worker

I have learnt a lot of new skills and I enjoy being part of a supportive team.”
Sue Walker, Support Worker at Peabody

Why us in particular?

Maybe because we’re a little different ourselves. When people think of a housing association, they usually think of housing. But the first thing we think of is the people who live there, and their health, wealth and wellbeing.

It might be a family with two young teenage boys – who could benefit from joining our various training courses. Or a young adult looking to improve their chances of being employed – who may find one of our apprenticeship opportunities appropriate for them. Perhaps it’s a single parent who wants to get back into work – they’d certainly find our employment services useful. Or it could be a vulnerable adult or young person, who’d benefit from the specialist, personalised care we can provide to them and thousands of other people.

Peabody, a multi-award winning organisation, is one of the largest housing providers in London and the South East. We offer affordable homes to rent and buy as well as care and support services for people needing extra support. We also partner local communities to make our neighbourhoods better places to live.

What we do

  • We build homes
  • We manage them

What our staff say

But don’t just take our word for it, listen to what staff in our care and support services think about their job and working for Peabody;

“I’ve worked for Peabody for four years and they really take care of their staff. I feel part of a great organisation and am proud to be supporting the most vulnerable in my community. This is one of the best care and support providers to work for. They value their staff, they listen and they recognise we do a great job.”
Nick Burrows, Support Worker

We encourage our employees to demonstrate these cornerstones every day, and recognise this through the WOW! Awards – the UK’s only national awards that recognise great customer service. Our employees have won the highest prize at the national WOW! Awards for the past two years’ running!
